John Sullivan Senior Partner graduated in French, Latin and Philosophy from Queen’s University in 1963 and, after a number of years in teaching, commenced Articles with Murphy, Kerr & Co., Solicitors, Belfast in 1974. John was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Judicature in Northern Ireland in 1977. In 1980, he was appointed Assistant Town Solicitor for Belfast before joining the Department of the Environment, Solicitors Branch (later the Departmental Solicitor’s Office) as Senior Legal Advisor in 1985. John served as a School Governor for a decade; is a former Chairman of the Housing Benefit Review Board and has, in recent years, acted as a Consultant to a number of public bodies. John is External Examiner to the Institute of Professional Legal Studies and a Trustee of Antrim District Citizens Advice Bureau. Areas of Expertise Environment & Planning, Employment
David Sullivan Managing Partner qualified as an Aerodrome Air Traffic Controller in 1992. He later graduated in Law from Portobello College, Dublin and joined the leading commercial law firm of Elliott Duffy Garrett in 1996. He was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Judicature in Northern Ireland in 1998 and in the Republic of Ireland in 2005. David was appointed Associate in 2002, before moving to Kearney Sefton Franklin Solicitors as a specialist in Commercial Property. Paul Sullivan Head of Litigation graduated in Law and Economics from the University of Ulster and joined the leading defence practice of Donnelly & Wall in 1998. He subsequently graduated with distinction from the University of Northumbria and was called to the Bars of England & Wales (Middle Temple) and Northern Ireland in 2001; developing an extensive civil and criminal litigation practice. Paul is a Tutor at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies (QUB), and was an Advocacy Tutor within the Inn of Court of Northern Ireland (2003-2006). He has been a Trustee of Antrim District Citizens Advice Bureau since 1998, serving as both Chair (2001-2004) and Vice-Chair (2004-Present), and was formerly non-executive Director of Citizens Advice Northern Ireland (1999-2003). Stephanie Connolly Associate graduated in Law from Queen's University and joined the leading commercial law firm of Elliott Duffy Garrett in 2002. She was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Judicature in Northern Ireland in 2004 and, after a number of years specialising in Residential Property with a firm in her native City of Derry, returned to Belfast upon her appointment as Public Prosecutor in 2006. Stephanie joined Sullivans as Associate in January 2007. Areas of Expertise Residential Property, Private Client Ann Lawlor LL.B.
